Competence-By-Design (CBD) Committee
This is the KBD’s youngest committee, and it is responsible for:

Transition phase that involves staff and resident training on CBD.

Inclusion and follow-up of Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) in the evaluation and core curriculum of the Kuwait Board of Dermatology.

integration of EPAs into the evaluation process, and distributing the correct EPAs into different rotations:

Transition to discipline.

Foundation of discipline

Core of discipline.

Transition to practice.

Assessment of resident progress in EPA and deciding promotion in EPA stages.

Creation of plan for residents who are falling short of EPA completion.

Creation of CBD and growth mindset orientations to residents.

Ensuring the inclusion of the CANMED framework in the program and evaluation of residents in the Kuwait Board of Dermatology.

Allocation of academic supervisors to residents

Implementation of coaching over time (CoT) concept in the Kuwait of dermatology.
